You may know us as that funny çift amerikan if you live in Albania. We’ve been living in Gjirokastёr for most of our 2 and a half year Peace Corps service, wandering up and down the hilly, cobblestone streets and alleyways, working on projects, and practicing our gjuha shqip. Courtney is "that girl with the piercings who runs every morning" and Chris is "that tall boy who draws so bukur"… (not our words!)
Or perhaps you have couchsurfed with us. Maybe we hosted you in our refrigerator-like stone home? Or you put us up in your own shpie? We believe couchsurfing is an ingenious idea and we’re so glad to take advantage and meet new people! What a fun way to travel. Hopefully this trip will give us a chance to meet even more amazing people who teach us about life in their town…
